Established in September 2002, the International Business College (IBC) is a key initiative of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) to advance its internationalization—specifically through international cooperation in higher education and internationalized campus operations. Since its inception, IBC has been dedicated to cultivating innovative, interdisciplinary, and compound business professionals with a global vision and a strong sense of social responsibility. In collaboration with Ulster University (UK), Curtin University (Australia), and Western University (Canada), IBC offers four Sino-foreign cooperative education programs approved by China’s Ministry of Education. These programs leverage the Sino-foreign cooperative education model to cultivate compound business professionals—possessing cross-cultural communication skills and a global perspective—effectively meeting the demands of the international talent market.

The Accounting program is an applied discipline rooted in accounting, auditing, and financial management. It focuses on building fundamental knowledge and skills in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, and commercial law, while also developing professional competencies in areas such as capital operation, asset restructuring, corporate mergers and acquisitions, and international accounting practices. Additionally, it equips students with proficiency in accounting and financial management software and related technologies. This programme is accredited by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Graduates of Ulster University’s Accounting programme (who hold its Bachelor’s degree) are eligible for exemption from all nine papers within the ACCA Applied Knowledge and Skills modules and may proceed directly to the Strategic Professional level.
